The high season for hotels in Venice occurs in the summer when hotels are charging their maximum rates and tourists are packed into gondolas on the canals. Summertime is peak season and is characterized by high hotel rates, high temperatures, and plenty of crowds.
Hotel rates may be higher due to the increased demand during Venice Carnival. Carnevale, is Venice’s biggest festival and usually falls in late February or early March.
You may also experience high prices during Easter week, the 1st half of June, and the Film Festival (approximately from the last week of August to the 10th of September).
