Hi all,
i will be visiting Venice next month (September) and was i wondering what the current cost is to get a Goldola ride.
And what tour do you suggest, Grand Canal or some other on the inside Canals?
Thanks
Hi,
The standard cost for a gondola ride in Venice is 80 euros for a private 25-30 minutes tour during the day. At night, the cost of a gondola ride is 100 euros for a private 25-30 minutes tour. If you desire to stay longer, you can tell the gondolier and ask for the price before the start of the tour.
As for the tour, it depends on your personal preference. The Grand Canal is Venice’s main street and is lined with palaces and flocked with gondolas. You’ll also notice iconic Venetian landmarks along the way, such as the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Bell Tower.
On the other hand, taking a gondola ride on the smaller canals can provide a more intimate and peaceful experience as you glide past churches, bridges, and canals. Both options offer unique views of the city and are worth considering.
I hope i have helped 🙂
Thanks, since this could be my only time in Venice, i think i can afford both rides and and also take some really good photos of everything.
Yes, you can definitely take photos during your gondola ride in Venice! It’s a great way to capture the beautiful scenery and memories of your trip.
As for the best tour, it really depends on your personal preferences.
A tip from me: You can take terrific photos and videos using Vaporetto line #1 and ride it all the way down to the end of the line (and back maybe). It’s a great budget alternative to the traditional gondola ride, as riding the vaporetto costs only a couple of euros, while a gondola ride costs around 80-100 euros.
