Hi.

For me it was the Campanile in Piazza San Marco. There is an entry fee to go to the top with an elevator.

From the the top, the views are astonishing and you can take excellent photos of Venice.

Also you can take the vaporetto line ACTV 4.1 (circular) and do the whole trip (MURANO - FONDAMENTE NOVE - FERROVIA - P.LE ROMA - GIUDECCA - S.ZACCARIA - FONDAMENTE NOVE). Check www.actv.it for details.

You mean i can just take the full trip and shoot photos during the trip ? Is that possible ?

I mean in terms of "stability" and also movement (speed) of the vaporetto.

Yes you can take great photos while inside the vaporetto. The speed is slow and selecting a relatively high speed in your camera (if you can), you will have no problems at all.

In my last trip, i was able even to take multiple photos and stitch them as panoramics.

There are a few problems, now i think of it: Cold weather and how many people are on board (so you have space to move easily and take photos). I still remember how cold it was during the trip in the Guidecca channel.

Since i did my little research, here is some more information.

1. San Giorgio Maggiore campanile

2. Fondaco dei Tedeschi

3. Scala Contarini del Bovolo

4. San Marco campanile

5. Hilton Molino Stucky rooftop

6. The views from a Gondola Ride

5. Hilton Molino Stucky rooftop

The access to the rooftop of Hilton Molino Stucky is not always available and not free. I think it opens from 5 PM (you better call them) and also you must drink something on the terrace.

The Hilton Molino Stucky hotel is located on the Giudecca island, easily reached with vaporetto line 2 (Palanca stop). It’s only one stop from Zattere.
